About the project
The innovative project in the offices of the Cangado insurance agency in Pontevedra, Spain stands out for its modern, functional design, harmoniously integrating a cashpoint into the façade. This ground-up project was developed with the aim of maximising comfort and natural light, while making the most of the space available by incorporating decorative solutions from the Innovus Collection.
The studio in charge of the project, Nacho Covelo, adopted a distinctive lighting concept, combining both direct and indirect lighting, and also used a variety of high-quality materials, each one with a specific application that contributes to the general atmosphere of the space. Inspired by the specific challenges of the location – including the need to include two façades and a cashpoint – the studio used different sources of professional information and consulted specialised publications.
In order to achieve a contemporary, sophisticated ambience, the materials used were Innovus Storm Grey (L6274), Urbanstone Chalk (F2280) and Light Mediterranean (M3861). “Storm Grey was chosen for its sober, aristocratic finish, while also maintaining a contemporary appearance; Urbanstone Chalk, due to its stone texture and finish, was integrated into a small vertical garden; and Light Mediterranean, due to the quality and warmth that pale wood provides, creates a sensation of having more space and reflects the light to increase comfort”, the Nacho Covelo team explained.
The final result is a timeless modern design, with workspaces that will remain elegant over time. Of note is the versatility of the materials, the play on shapes and the strategic use of lighting, as well as a number of sliding panels. The integration of the different façades complements the innovative design of the space.
In the office interior projects sector, the main trends include clean lines, indirect lighting and the use of neutral shades and materials. “Sonae Arauco solutions were crucial for enriching the design of this project, thanks to the superior quality and the realism of the textures, whether in wood or stone. By using these new decors, it was possible to achieve exceptional results and create an innovative, functional space that reflects best practices in contemporary design.”
