PB P2 Fire X® E05/CARB2 is a particle board with additional flame retardants. It has a finely sanded surface that is ideal for a myriad of different coatings, including decorative finishes, veneers and laminates. It is available with a red pigmented inner layer. Thanks to its fire retardant properties, PB P2 Fire X® E05/CARB2 helps to delay the fire spread. This means that if it is exposed to the high temperatures of a fire it will not deform like steel, crack like plaster or melt like plastic. This allows for greater response and intervention time in firefighting operations and delays the spread of fire by preventing the development of flames or flammable particles. In terms of fire behaviour, PB P2 Fire X® E05/CARB2 is classified as B-s2, d0 (according to EN 13501-1).
